In 2025, Earth Peace Action (EPAc) launched Quiz & Win, a monthly initiative designed to support university students, encourage their educational aspirations and challenge the perception that “school is a scam”.
The initiative was built around a simple idea: university students deserve encouragement, recognition and support as they pursue their education. Through a monthly show, Quiz & Win spotlighted one student at a time, giving each featured student an opportunity to participate in a knowledge-based quiz while placing student development and the value of education at the centre of the conversation.
Five Sessions of Student Engagement
Since its launch in 2025, Quiz & Win has held five sessions, featuring five university students. By focusing on one student per session, the programme created a platform for individual participation and recognition while promoting learning and intellectual engagement.
Beyond the quiz itself, the programme carried a wider message: education remains a valuable investment in knowledge, personal development and future opportunities. At a time when negative perceptions about schooling can discourage young people, EPAc sought to promote a more constructive outlook and encourage students to remain committed to their educational journeys.
Encouraging Young People to Believe in Education
Quiz & Win reflects EPAc’s commitment to youth empowerment through practical and engaging initiatives. By creating a recurring platform for university students, the programme sought to recognise their efforts, encourage continued learning and reinforce the importance of investing in education.
The initiative also provided an opportunity to communicate a positive message to other young people: despite the challenges associated with pursuing higher education, learning can contribute to personal growth, broaden perspectives and help prepare students for future opportunities.
The five sessions represent an important step in EPAc’s efforts to support students and promote a culture that values education, perseverance and personal development.
The five Quiz & Win sessions are available on the Earth Peace Action YouTube channel. We invite visitors to watch the episodes, discover the students featured and learn more about EPAc’s efforts to encourage university students and promote the value of education.
